#shift is a youth-led approach at mental health awareness and suicide prevention for teens, primarily for our community in Mercer County, but it can be used all over the world through our social pages.
Colton is behind fair planning with the board of the Mercer County (WV) fair and has worked along side local leaders and board members to ensure an awesome event for the community.
Colton Bailey Says Hi is what first involved Colton into helping his community and since the creation of that the collaborations and involvements have went up from there. CBSH is focused on kindness and small business support. It’s a grassroots approach at a better, more livable, Mercer County.
Colton volunteers with the Mercer County Teen Court which is known for giving troubled youth (first time offenders) a chance to go through a system with their peers.
With strong roots in Mercer County, WV- Colton began his journey in public leadership at the age of 13 by starting Colton Bailey Says Hi, with supporting public campaigns, fundraising, and yard-signs as our main focus then. We then gave Colton Bailey Says Hi and upgrade and started creating/attending public events, co-organizing food drives with Jimmies Restaurant, and a large focus on community development. We then branched out into a mental health program helping teen/youth mental health, called The #Shift Project
Our work is guided by a set of core values, including compassion, integrity, and collaboration. We believe that by upholding these values, we can create meaningful and sustainable change in our community.
Through our programs and initiatives, we have been able to make a positive impact in the lives of many. From supporting local businesses to providing basic necessities to those in need, we are proud of our achievements and the impact we have made.
